Library Notes for June 22, 2011

If you have been in the library in the past couple of weeks you know our library system is down. We are working hard to get this back up and running.  We are sorry for any inconvenience, but we hope to have everything back up soon. Our webpage is down also.  We will be updating our library cards too; so when you come in you will be asked for your driver’s license or ID.

You can still access our E-Books by going to www.overdrive.com typing in our zip code, click on John L. Street Library and you can see what you can check out. If you have any questions just call us.

Our Summer Reading Program will be getting started July 6th. Come by or call and get you children, or grandchildren registered for a fun filled month of activities, for kids ages 2-12 each Wednesday, in July.

We will have an “Amazing Race” for the older kids 13-16. This will be July 29, at 10:00. Kids will need to sign up in teams of two.  Ms Cheryl has some great prizes for Summer Reading and The Amazing Race!! So sign up today!!!

We will be having a Book Signing July 8th with Jimmie Baker. Mr. Baker is a native of Trigg County, who has written a book, “My Eventful Life.” He will have his books for sale for $17.00 if you have one bring it by and he will sign it.

Happy Reading!
