“Pam’s Pick” this week is by one of my favorite Kentucky authors. “Kinsey and Me” by Sue Grafton, this is a collection of stories about Kinsey and the starting for the alphabet series.

 

New Fiction:

“The Legend of Broken” by Caleb Carr, legend meets history in this mesmerizing novel. Some years ago, a manuscript was discovered that tells of a prosperous fortress city where order reigns at the point of a sword.  When the new gods collide with the old will the legend of Broken survive?

“Husband List” by Janet Evanovich & Dorien Kelly, this story is set in 1894 Manhattan. The Maxwell family are longing to marry their daughter, Caroline to an European aristocracy. But she is fond of Jack Culhane, a dashing businessman who has plenty of New money.

“Blood Money” by James Grippando, Miami criminal defense attorney Jack Swyteck is back in his most thrilling case. This time the price of victory may be blood.

Dream Eyes” by Jayne Ann Krentz, this is a Dark Legacy novel. Psychic counselor Gwen Frazier is back in her home town because her friend and mentor Evelyn Ballinger is dead. Two years earlier a killer stalked the member of a research study by Ballinger. Gwen must find how Ballinger’s death is related.

“Fever” by Elizabeth Lowell, this is a classic romance. Lisa Johansen, is a world traveler, who has tasted the exotic and seen the extraordinary. But when a
rancher called Rye came into her life, he ignited a feverish desire foreign to her mind.

“Shadow Woman” by Linda Howard, this is a thrilling novel with memories that can kill. Lizette wakes up one morning and discovers she has lost two years and she doesn’t recognize her own reflection in the mirror. When her memories  return she becomes the target of an assassin. Can she remember everything before the assassin finds her?

 

New Christian Fiction:

“The Caregiver” by Shelley Shepard Gray, this is the first book in the Families of Honor. Lucy and Calvin are both traveling by train to Jacob’s Crossing. When the train runs into trouble the two learn to band together.

Submerged” by Dani Pettrey, this is the first book in the Alaskan Courage series. Bailey never wanted to return to Yancey, Alaska but she must bury a loved one. Cole has faced many challenges but Bailey’s return is not one he wants. Soon the two are racing against the clock and the raising body count to get to the truth of what is happening. Can they set aside their differences to solve the murders?

 

New Large Print:

“An Unlikely Countess” by Jo Beverley, this is a historical romance. Catesby is looking for a fight when he comes across a young woman being attacked by thugs. He rescues her again by marrying her. When he becomes the Earl of Malzard,
Prudence is suddenly a most unlikely countess.

 “City of Bad Men” by Ralph Cotton, this is a western set in the Mexican Badlands. Lawrence Shaw is the fastest gun alive. He’s a U.S. deputy marshal enjoying the solitude until a businessman with a mining venture asks for help.

 “Big Sky” by Linda Lael Miller, this is book three in the Parable Big Sky series. Sheriff Boone is enjoying his peace and quiet when a city woman buys the farm next door. His life is about to change forever.

 

New Non-fiction:

“Mere Christianity” by C. S. Lewis, In 1941 England, when all hope was threatened by the inhumanity of war, C. S. Lewis was invited to give a series of radio lectures addressing the central issues of Christianity. More than half a century later, these talks continue to retain their poignancy. First heard as informal radio broadcasts on the BBC.

“Eat More of What You Love” by Marlene Koch, this book has over 200 recipes that are low in sugar, fat and calories.

“History’s Greatest Images” from Time Magazine, this is a collection of the world’s 100 most influential photographs.

 “Cheaper, Better, Faster” by Mary Hunt, this book has over 2,000 tips and tricks to save you time and money every day.

 “Best of Knit It” from Better Homes and Gardens, this book has 100 plus classic knit projects.

 “Unexpected Afghans” by Robyn Chachula, this book has patterns for innovative crochet designs with traditional techniques.

 

New Biography:

“Impact Player” by Bobby Richardson, with David Thomas, this is the story of a man who left a lasting legacy on and off the field. He played for the New York Yankees from 1955-1966, a seven time All Star and a five time Gold Glove Winner.
