Library Notes for February 8, 2023

What’s Happening at the Library:   

February is the Month of Love: so back by popular demand “Blind Date with a Book.” Stop by and check one out. It could be Love! 

Storytime with Ms. Katie is every Wednesday at 10:30.  

Book Club: February 16th at 6:00 discussing the book: “The Memoirs of Jane Austen” by Syrie James 

Taxes with RSVP: we are now taking appointments Monday-Friday for the free tax service 

New this year a Seed Library: We have bags of vegetables, flowers, and herbs. You can put your name in for a drawing for garden tools.  

Game Night for all ages: February 23rd at 6:00 

Pam’s Pick this week is: “Killer Cupid” by Laurien Berenson, this is a Melanie Travis canine mystery. Melanie and her husband Sam are on a Valentine’s getaway when their trip is interrupted by one of the other guests at their cozy Inn who has an unexpected date with death. Melanie must slip into something sleuthier for the weekend.  

New Fiction: “The Light Pirate” by Lily Brooks-Dalton, “How to Sell a Haunted House” by Grady Hendrix, “Three-Edged Sword” by Jeff Lindsay, “Ten Rules for Faking It” by Sophie Sullivan, this is the first book in the Jansen Brothers series, and “The Devil’s Ransom” by Brad Taylor, this is a Pike Logan novel. 

New Christian Fiction: “Dark of Night” by Colleen Coble, this is the second book in the Annie Pederson series. 

New Large Print: “The Duke & I” by Julia Quinn, this is the first book in the Bridgerton series, and “The Viscount Who Loves Me” by Julia Quinn, this is the second book in the Bridgerton series. 

New Biography: “You Should Sit Down for This” by Tamera Mowry-Housley. 

New Non-Fiction: “Farewell: Vital End-of-Life Questions with Candid Answers From a Leading Palliative and Hospice Physician” by Edward Creagan, “Two-of-a-Kind Quilts: 12 Scrappy Designs That Are Double the Fun” by Lissa Alexander, and “The Nazi Conspiracy: the Secret Plot to Kill Roosevelt, Stalin, and Churchill” by Brad Meltzer.
